Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: January 2025
The Short Version
MenFashion Sense earns a small commission when you click our links and make a purchase from a retailer. This costs you nothing extra. Our editorial choices are made independently — we only recommend things our team genuinely likes. The commission is how we keep the content free.
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a commission-based arrangement. When MenFashion Sense links to a product on a retailer's website (such as ASOS, Amazon, Zara, or others) and you click that link and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale as a referral fee. This is called an affiliate commission.
The price you pay is identical whether you arrive at the retailer's site through our link or by going there directly. The commission comes from the retailer's marketing budget, not from your pocket.
Our Affiliate Partnerships
MenFashion Sense currently participates in affiliate programmes with, but not limited to:
- Amazon Associates
- ASOS Affiliate Programme
- Farfetch Affiliate Programme
- Zalando Partner Programme
- Various brand-direct affiliate schemes via Impact, Awin, and ShareASale
This list may change as we add or remove retail partners. Whenever a new affiliate relationship begins, this page is updated.
How We Decide What to Recommend
Our editorial process is independent of our affiliate relationships. Products and brands are selected based on:
- Quality and build — is this genuinely a good product?
- Price-to-value ratio — does it represent fair value?
- Fit with our style principles — does it actually look good?
- Reader relevance — is this something our audience would actually buy?
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. A brand paying us an affiliate commission is not a basis for inclusion in our guides or look books. We have declined to feature products from brands offering higher commissions when we felt those products were not worth recommending.
If a product has a significant flaw, we say so — even if it is from a brand we partner with.
Sponsored Content
Occasionally MenFashion Sense publishes sponsored content in partnership with brands. All sponsored content is clearly labeled with "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" at the top of the post. Sponsored content does not influence our independent editorial coverage.
Why Transparency Matters
We are required by the FTC (US), ASA (UK), and equivalent consumer protection bodies in Pakistan to disclose material connections with brands and retailers. This disclosure page fulfils that requirement, and affiliate links throughout the site are additionally marked with clear context where required.
More importantly, we believe you deserve to know how this site makes money. Affiliate income is what allows us to keep our style guides, outfit looks, and newsletter free.
Questions?
If you have questions about our affiliate relationships or want to know whether a specific recommendation was influenced by a commercial arrangement, email us at hello@menfashionsense.com. We will always answer honestly.
